Working with Simon Nkole from Birmingham MIAT carried out cataract operations in Lusaka. Subsequently with the help of Lady Diana and support from Scrivens the opticians thousands of discarded but useful pairs of spectacles were sent, and Taylor Wimpey Offered new washing machines and dishwashers. Many of these were collected by Simon for use by his charity.
