MIAT’s Humanitarian Efforts in Kenya
MIAT has been working in central and southern Africa for over 30 years. During the AIDS crisis and drought, MIAT supplied food to Kenya on numerous occasions. Mr Aslam visited Kenya and personally delivered food and water to the dying. Responding to a plea for help Prof Gatrad worked with the Sikh organisation called Khalsa Aid. He then arranged for Dr Sata Sharma a GP from Wolverhampton and a fellow Deputy Lieutenant to the Monarchy to join Khalsa Aid as a collaboration. The building of a sand dam is an art in itself!!
